i tried to log in cause i just downloaded, before it finishes the screen disappears & crashes. help

i just downloaded 2L and when i log in it crashes before it even finishes...

If there's no error message, then it probably disconnected, not crashed. One of the most common reasons is that you have a firewall or an antivirus program blocking your access to SL.  Check out this information and see if it helps >>>> http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Configure_your_software_firewall .  Also, check to be sure that your computer actually meets LL's recommended standards (https://secondlife.com/my/support/system-requirements/index.php?lang=en-US ).  If your computer has inadequate memory or a substandard graphics card, you'll have trouble logging in and staying connected.
