My SL voice is greyed out... what's wrong?

So a couple days ago I could use voice fine. Now it's greyed out (Speech button) in all regions, even voice-enabled ones, yet I can hear others speaking.

 

I went to check my I/O devices and it says "Please wait" or "Loading" (something along those lines) and never loaded.

 

Could it be because I am on a wi-fi connection for laptop? Like I said it worked fine on this connection the other day.

While there are other issues with voice that can cause problems, the biggest current issue is that some virus scanners (Norton is king here) see SL voice and / or associated files as a virus and can sometimes delete the application without even telling you.

I've had the same problem all day...any luck on fixing it? Or has anyone figured out how ot solve this? I JUST started using it to..and JUST got voice morph so I wonder if that has something to do with it.

 

 

UPDATE: I uninstalled and reinstalled my viewer...sseemed to fix the problem for now
