How do i change my name on the phoneix viewer

Hello aen24 and welcome to SL Forums. You don't change  your name, just you add your last name.

First name: aen24

Last name: Resident

If you mean you want to have a display name, this is impossible in Phoenix. You can only do that on V2 based viewers. Use V2 or Firestorm if you want this option.

You can only change your "Display name" in Phoenix on the top of your viewer interface, under " Edit menu > Display name... " You can do this only once a week. Even if you reset it, you have to wait 7 days from the time you set you reseted name. If you are talking about your account name, you can't change it, you can only make a new account. Enjoy!

Hi! I was wondering the same thing, and a few minutes ago I figured it out. On my Phoenix Firestorm viewer I couldn't find where it said "Display name" and I looked in preferences and in advanced, then I checked every other tab. Finally I thought, what the heck I'll look on my profile too, and I am so glad I did.

While using your viewer click on your own profile. In the '2ndLife' tab you'll notice what looks like a 'wench' next to your name. Click on that and you'll get a 'popup'. Now you can change your name. :matte-motes-big-grin:
