i still cant download!!! Please help

I tried plugging the dsl cord into my computer instead of using wireless but i still cant download, and im not sure how to use those third p[arty things, can someone help me?

have you tried disabling your firewall for the downloads? sometimes firewalls and internet settings block downloads hope that helps your problem

Are you talking about downloading a viewer to install it on your computer?  Or are you talking about not being able to log into SL?  My first thought is that you can't download the viewer (mostly because to the choice of the word "download").  If that's the problem you might need to log into your computer as administrator in order to download (and install when you get the viewer downloaded).  If your account on the computer you are using does not allow that then get the person who is administrator to download and install for you.  If you are on a shared network then you might need to contact whoever the network administrator is in order to download.

 

If you can't log in (and the viewer is already downloaded and installed on your computer) then some computer specs are necessary for more help.  Open the viewer but don't log in.  Under the "Help" menu click "About Second Life" and copy the specs given on the first tab.....paste those back here.

 

To add to your post choose the "Options" at the upper right hand corner of your post dialog box and "Edit" to add the specs and/or comments.
