I used Second Life about six months ago, then stopped. Since then I've upgraded to a new computer. When I tried logging in tonight, all I see is an ocean landscape, my user name on the screen, no avatar; when I try to teleport everything just looks strange, I still don't see my avatar. What should I do? Can I somehow uninstall Second Life and re-register and start from scratch?
I can't click on "About Second Life" in the viewer menu because it is grayed out and therefore can't be clicked on. I'm running Mac OS 10.6.7 on a 2.3.GHz Intel Macbook Pro with 8 GH of RAM. I installed the latest version of the Second Life viewer yesterday. I have a screen shot of what it looks like when I log into Second Life. Is there a way I can send that to you? I clicked on "Insert Image" above, but it wouldn't work.
