I havent visisted a forum since 06/20/2010 and still my e-mail gets flooded. How do I stop this ???

Could someone please tell me how to dissociate my e-mail from the forums blogs and knowledge base. Everyday i get like 1,000 e-mails to my e-mail account. Even though I dont use this account often, when I log in it is quite annoying that there are thousands of emails that I want know nothing about. Thank you.

Start at My Settings, Subscriptions and Bookmarks, next to your name at the top of these pages. There is another option there also about email subscriptions. Lots of boxes to check it appears.
