billing issue, when i but ls, im quoted in dollars , but the same amount is deducted in sterling?

hiya, have bought ls a couple of times now, and have chosen $6.00 worth of lindens - but £6.00 sterling has been deducted from my bank????  do i report to bank or sl to get refunded - if im quoted in dollars , then an exchange rate applies, if fees apply then these need to be listed but cant see them anywhere?  thanks
