Friend in contacts list but not in Friend's list

If you're sorting by name, names using odd fonts will be at the bottom of the list usually.  Is she there when you scroll all the way down?

Yes.  That is exactly what happened.  Her name of "MARIE" was in a strange font "мᴀʀɪᴇ" and as you say, it shows up below the letter z of my friends list.   https://gyazo.com/efbdd6f4b433afe565bbb8265500d52f

IIRC, you can sort those by user name and not display name.
