Rezz area/room without subdividing land?

Is there any sort of device or option to set up a temporary rezz area on a full sim without separating it into a new small parcel?  We need multiple areas around the sim for people to rezz but, of course, they don't all line up from ground to sky on the small rezz area we originally set up :(  Wish there was script you could put into a prim for rezzing only on that object.  I know big ask... just don't want to have to redo everything on the sim... as this idea as an afterthought to everything that was built a few years ago.  Thanks everyone

Separate it into a new large parcel?

That's not just to be snarky. There's no way for a script to override land constraints on rezzing, but a script can tidy up after stuff is rezzed by unauthorized residents, so if there's more rez area than before, a script might be able to reduce undesired consequences.

But I'm not sure a script would be needed. Is there some reason why it would be a problem to subdivide any areas where rezzing would be useful (at any altitude) and just rely on a reasonable auto-return interval to tidy up?

Hi Qie,

We have a full sim of venues scattered everywhere.  There is also tracks on the sim.  We don't really want to open it up to rezzing anywhere and we can't parcel off anything because the entire sim is set to one group.  Subdividing land could create issues because of how the various venues have been built.

I think we have found something on MP that will work as it is a controller that returns rezzed items, similar to how the sim does, but with slightly different criteria that we can manage better and it protects the sim.

Thank you ;)
