Redelivery, Bulk Redelivery, and Unlisted Items

heyas!

i have some products i no longer sell, because i cannot support them any longer. i unlisted them, BUT i left the items associated in my Marketplace Listings palette. that means that previous purchasers of the item can get a redelivery. right????

i also had a listing for a pre-release item, and i wanted to send the purchasers of that item both the final release and a bonus item. so i delisted (but left the new box associated!) that item, and tried a bulk redelivery. i couldn't help but notice there was no 'bulk redeliver' button unless the item was listed. i delisted it after pressing the button, and after after a day, the redelivery status is failed.

is this how it's supposed to work?
