Received a creepy scripted message for illegal content with no way to see who sent it to report them

I just received this message while I was hanging with friends

my friends said they couldn't see who sent it, and it was just a link which i didnt click cause i figure its some kinda scam to get your password too, so how can I find out how to report this person?

Usually a chat or IM message is tagged with the sender. If this one was not, here is how I would report it:

• Use "Fraud - L$" as the abuse category
• Use "Governor Linden" as the person being reported
• Note the time and place where you received the link, and whether it was in IM or nearby chat or group chat (and which group)
• Explain that you suspect the link is a phishing attempt
• Include the relevant chat or IM by copying and pasting in the report body.
• Since the actual link has had text substituted, if you still have access to the chat, hover your mouse over the link to see the actual URL. Include that in your report. If you can't do that, don't worry too much. LL can access their own chat logs and find it.
