BoM nails??? Why yes, you can.

BoM nails? Yes, this is possible and it doesn't involve black magic. You can achieve this using universal layers.

You will need:

• A modifiable body such as Belleza or Kalhene Erica.
• A universal tattoo layer
• Basic editing skills

Step 1) Rez out the body. (I'm using the Jake for this tutorial.)

Step 2) Go into Edit mode, checkmark Edit linked, click on the toenails and click the Texture box.

Step 3) In the Pick: Texture box, choose Bake in the first pull-down and in the second pull-down choose BAKED_AUX2 (or AUX3 as I noticed AUX1 was used for Lelutka ears).

 

Step 4) Repeat for fingernails. The fingernails are a bit tricky to grab hold as they are embedded inside the hands. You'll need to pan the camera inside in order to find a surface to hold on to. You should also select Select Face in Edit box to make it easier. You should see the nail texture in the box if you successfully grabbed on. Now repeat the BoM converting process in Step 3.

Step 5) Repeat Step 4 for the other hand.

 

Step 6) Give your modded body a new name and take into inventory.

Step 7) Create a new universal layer and wear it.

 

Step 8 ) Edit the universal layer, find a texture, and drop it into the Aux2 Tattoo box. (I just grabbed any old texture from my inventory.) Click Save.

 

You now have new nail polish! Go nuts with any textures you have or make your own.
