Land Auctions that do not get bids?

I am starting to watch auctions - now what happens to closed auctions that are not bid on?  Can a person still submit a bid?  Thanks.

I don't think there's any mechanism for submitting a bid once the auction closes, but if you file a Support ticket asking to buy the land and citing the auction that closed without a bid, I think you'd have a pretty good chance of getting it set for sale to you. It's likely they'll set the standard L$1/m² price but if it matters you might hint in the ticket that, not having raised the opening bid, a lower price might be in order. (Really, though, the Land team has to go out and set the land for sale, so personally, I wouldn't press the point.)

Thanks - years ago I had a private island and then gave it up and now trying to be smarter about this but Land Ownership has great benefits.  Thx.  andauctions are the way to go!
