While you're logging in, you get this little progress bar with tips and news below it:

Since these tips are dynamic, and can contain news about current events, is there any way to prevent them from showing up, like a setting, or by blocking a specific URL? Anything that doesn't require me to recompile the entire viewer.

The reason why I'm asking this is because sometimes the news are related to sensitive subjects like sexual abuse. A friend of mine would really rather not have to be reminded about things like that for months every time they log in. The specific message they mentioned was about a RAINN (Rape Abuse & Incest National Network) event.

debug setting:  ForceLoginURL

if type 'a' in as the value then 'a' will not resolve to a legit url and will get a blank in the tips section of the login screen

This setting apparently only affects the main login screen before the login process begins.

What I'm trying to find is something that affects the loading screen after you click the "log in" button, as shown.
