It's going to be very tough. You'll be tempted to set your Edit tool to Select By Surrounding and then drag a selection rectangle around the entire skybox, from a distance.  That's not a bad idea, but it will miss maybe as much as 10% of your stuff.  Specifically, anything that is too small to render at a distance will not get selected. Also some cranky mesh objects that don't render properly for God knows what reason.  So, you'll have to go back and select all those things manually -- if you can find them all, including all the little things that are inside other objects.

Then you'll remember that a certain number of those things are no-copy.  If you save them in the mass, they will end up in your inventory -- still locked up in the copied skybox -- but not in the one you want to live in.  Not much to do about that.

Then you'll remember how hard it was to re-rez even some small, less complicated coalesced objects the last time you tried. Where and how do you rez something as huge as a skybox reliably without losing some of the parts?  Can you rez it in exactly the right place?  If you screw up, can you re-select and move/save everything again? In short, it's nice to have it all saved, but how in heaven's name are you ever going to UNsave it again if you have to?

I have copies of each skybox I have ever built, but just the bare-bones buildings and whatever is linked directly to them. Saving anything else is a nightmare.
