What is physics layer?

I've been gone for  a while and I get back to find butt bouncers.

I can't use it cause I don't have physics layer capabilities.

What is that and how can I get it?

Be aware that there is a bug in the OLD viewer causing someone using the new physics enabled viewer to not update properly and show to users of viewer 1 as the default female shape. TPV's based on the viewer 1 code have been, or is in the process of being updated to cope with the bug, but the linden viewer is not likely going to be updated.
