Hi all, this is my first post in the SL forums and I apologize I have not been an active member of the community until this point.

I am making a film in SL, a very ambitious project but I saw Stomol and wanted to give it a try. Are there any guidelines from LL about this? No real SL companies or avatars will be named and I plan to credit the makers of some of the clothes, hair, and vehicles at the end of it as well as the locations I film at.

Any suggestions, guidelines, or anything else you think a first time SL film maker needs to know would be greatly appreciated

Anything particularly good I should watch?

It's certainly a very ambitious project. If i were to describe it, my film is character driven with an action climax. Also, there's no voices it's all subtitles and music. I think it will probably end up being 30 to 45 minutes. I have been at it not quite a month yet but it does seem to be coming together. My film is in no way "artsy" or "high brow" or "noir" it's about a broken man and his redemption.

Huckleberry Hax, the maker of Stömol, wrote 4 articles on making making machinima in Second Life you might find useful!

Also, you may want to check the offical LL guidelines on filming in Second Life: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Snapshot_and_machinima_policy

Good luck and enjoy filming!
