i have age verified my account and it says sucessful but it wont let me change the maturity rating

i age verified myself and it said sussesfullly verified but when i go to change the maturity it wont let me so i can only go into g rated places not even moderate places how do i change the maturity rating cause i think im not doing it right or how can i fix it

Go to preferences, general, maturity ratings : general, moderate, adult, then restart your computer.

ETA: I meanyou must upgrade your maturity status inwolrd, when you are connected to SL...
