5% fee for process credit?!

Can someone tell me why I’m being charged 5% fee instead of 3.5% that sl information states for selling L$ process

The 3.5% fee is what's charged when you sell $L to exchange them for $USD.  To move those $USD out of your Second Life account and into your Real Life PayPal or Skrill account, it's an additional 5%.  See below:

 

LL raised these fees last year, at the same time they lowered the costs of buying and owning land.  The idea was to spread the costs of running SL more equitably among the Residents, instead of putting too much burden on the land owners.  It's a sensible move, but it doesn't make it any more pleasant when you want to take some money out.
