SL Freezes at "Loading World"

Hi, I am using SL on openSUSE 11.4 (64).

I was running fine until today afternoon. 

But now, when i try to login it freezes at "Loading World". 

I received & update & installed it but I dont think the update is causing it because SL ran fine after installing the update.

I dont want to loose my friends list .....so please suggest a solution whereby I dont have to loose it.

Well the good news is that your friends list is kept server side, so you wont loose it because of local problems.

As for running SL in a Linux environment, I am not much help.  I have zero experience with that.

Now, I can lohin again ............. I was chattig wit a user and she told me that this problem happens with her all time.

So I guess there is nothing wrong at my end.

Okay I am really confused here.

Please explain to me what all these "viewers" are ?

I mean isnt SL a game by Linden Research, Inc ?

How come are these 3rd party "viewers" supported ?

I am a linux user for about 3 years now. Never really played any games other than Alien Arena.

Do you use Linux too ?

Forgot to mention that today SL crashed too !!! ...........while I was chatting with a user.

 What is going wrong ?
