Good day fellow Second life members,

I've been googling for hours and hours on how to export your pose so that the location stays the same.
I'm having issues in creating a ground pose, when I lower my animation and upload it on SL, instead of being on the ground my avatar is floating mid air.
I found this topic and tried it the way they explained, but it doesn't make any sense to me and it didn't resolve my issue, what he's saying is to create two frames and set the COG and Origin to 0, but once I do that, my avatar is just standing as normal -

I've been experimenting around for hours, making the COG and Origin match up and lowering them both.
Locking the location and rotation, locrot, whole body lock etc of the animation and none of them seemed to work.

I'd be forever greatful if anyone could explain on how you lower your avatar so that it sits on the ground.

Thank you so much for your time,

Endija

Forget about Origin, it is usless, think of it as Avastar's local bone, leave it at 0/0/0 and forget about it.

The bone that will define position of the avatar in SL is COG bone:

To see what you are keyframing you need to open the Dope Sheet window.

1. Find Default on the top:

2. Click on the icon on the left side, and choose "Animation":

The dope sheet window will open; in this case it is empty as there is nothing keyframed yet:

To get the view as shown on the picture, hit 3 than 5 on numeric keyboard. The green line (on the picture above just below avatar feet) is representing the ground level in SL.

3. Grab the blue arrow and drag avatar down.

4. With mouse on the scene, hit letter I on your keyboard and from the menu choose LocRot to keyframe the change:

They keyframes will show in the DopeSheet window:

To see both location and rotation, click the white arrow next to COG bone line in Dope Sheet.

That's it.
