Phoenix Viewer works but i liked the set up of the sl viewer

You could try the Firestorm viewer. It is based on viewer 2. I gave a couple of suggestions of things you too could try here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/The-latest-viewer-downloaded-Log-in-and-rectangle-blocks-screen/qaq-p/839703/comment-id/6368. Not sure they will work, but try and see what happens.
