The latest viewer downloaded. Log in and rectangle blocks screen. Can't do anything

The latest version of viewer 2 downloaded.  But once I log in, a rectangle comes across the screen and i can not do anything.  If I click on anything I get a ping sound.  I can use the new viewer with an alt.  I can log on with Pheonix using my regular avatar.  And I can log on with the previous version of viewer 2 with the regular alt (rescued it from the trash).  So can't figure out what it is about the one avatar and the newest viewer, 2.6.3.227447

The very latest beta on the download page is v. 2.6.5.xxxxxxxxx. Try that and see if it is any better.

Try clearing cache from outside the viewer. Instructions here.

Also, I had an issue a few versions ago where I had to remove all avatar specific folders and files and all preferences for the viewer before it let me log in without crashing. You could try this, but the location of the various files and folders vary depending on your OS. I think you can track them down by checking this page for location information.
