Issues with SL after logging in

I have restarted my system several times, I have also re-installed Second Life V2 as well as the V2 beta and have the same issue on both. After I log into SL the following ocurrs:

1: All names on friends list appear as (loading) this never goes away

2: All of my groups are gone

3: There is no land infomatin available, even for the land that I rent and has my name on it

I have logged in and out nearly 40 times now. The issue is not my computer, everything is working fine on my end, in fact I was on SL all day yesterday and ran into not one issue. A resolve to this is greatly appreciated.

To add a bit to this here, I cannot TP at all as well, in fact when I attempt to TP anywhere the system logs me out.

Go to Smith, if you can`t TP there, clear your cache and then set Smith as your start location so that you relog to there, before relogging, disable HTTP GetTextures, depending which viewer you are using you will find it in either Advanced Menu > Rendering or Developers Menu.

Once you arrive in Smith after clearing cache, open your inventory and let it fully load before you do anything else. You can type in the search bar in inventory to make it load faster but don`t move around or IM or anything else until its done.

Not only can I not Tp there but Sl is not allowing me to clear my cache. I have let the invenrotry load completely each time and still deal with the same issues.

You can clear it manually, look in your preferences for the location of your cache on your computer, navigate to that place & delete the contents of the Second Life folder. Then relog and log back in to Smith.

Well after nearly 100 log ins and outs it finally is ok....though id rather this not happen again

Well having everything loading slowly like that can be lag or maybe try adjusting your bandwidth setting...If you look at all the symptoms you describe, they are all basically related to something not loading fast enough. Even the TP problem, its getting timedout waiting and kicking you off.

 

Try some testing on http://www.speedtest.net. & also http://www.pingtest.net/ which is accessible from speedtest site.

OK so after what seemed like a million attempts and no resolve from here It was fixed......on its own....until today. Right now in fact I am dealing with the exact same issue from before AND this is on the updated viewer.

Someone else posted with the same problems & after trying just about everything anyone could think of it was suggested to try a 3rd party viewer, her next reply was:

 

"I just swithched to Phoenix viewer and all my problems disappeared. Plus the graphics cleared up, my inventory, places, friends, etc., don't keep constantly "loading", and the lag time is just about gone. Wow. What did LL do to this latest version? Really screwed it up for my system, anyway."

 

It looks like something in the new viewer is just not working with some systems, try a 3rd party one until the next LL update and then see if their new version is better. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory
