Seeing people's crosshairs on an empty region

Hey all. I rent a full homestead that's not attached to any other regions. Every couple months or so I can be at home alone on the sim and I see one or two other avatar's crosshairs. The last time this happened I IMed one of the people. They had no clue why and they had never been to my sim before. Anyone else ever experienced this before or have any idea why? It's not  a problem. I'm just curious why it's happening.

well homesteads share a processor, so there could be a shared memory issue where theose avatars data is being rendered to all the homesteads on that processor....

next time ask them if they are on a homestead region at that very moment.

That was my first thought. I think I've seen some other random hovertext too. My guess it's all a part of the same issue.

I think it is really a viewer flaw, little scraps of data from other regions are not always flushed when we move around. The viewer is full of lazy updates like that, some have been cleaned up, some have not been found yet.
