Having problems with a flickering black screen freeze in Firestorm. Anyone know why that might be?

I'm running SecondLife on high ram, and 680 NVID card, and an i7 processor and premium internet (200mbps), but since my Windows 10 upgrade and the latest release of viewers, I've been having a host of freezing problems that don't result in crashes but some major lag for a period of maybe 10-15 seconds a time. Prior to this, I was able to run ultra with advanced graphics with no issue - low lag and stable framerate.

While I know my card is getting older and more outdated, I am not understanding why this issue is persisting when it was never a problem before. If anyone has answers, feel free to share.

Make sure you've updated your graphics driver from the NVIDIA website...
