Luc Starsider
I tell you, guys, this is the way to go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Space-Navigator.jpg Once you've tried one of these, you never have to worry about on-screen controls again. For SL, it is the best thing ever! - Luc -
Monderas Bristol
You can just use any compatible joystick/joypad as well. My Logitech works pretty well. *huggs* Mondy

Using the keyboard shortcuts make for a much better (more fluid) experience. :-) I forced myself to learn to the use the keyboard shortcuts when fiddling with the first V2.0, when the camera controls were no longer on the same palette and you had to switch back and forth (since fixed, thankfully). It took me a while to get used to the keyboard, but once I did, it's now the only way I control the camera. One less window taking up real estate on my screen.
