I can't open Firestorm/Second Life detecting hardware and then just shuts down.

As the subject says, whenever i try to open up Second Life on either Firestorm or Second Life viewer it just pops up with "detecting hardware" then shuts down...

It happened today, yesterday i was able to log on just fine. Only thing that i can recall that has happened is me updating my Nvidia Geforce... Could that by any chance have caused this?

The video drivers certainly could be the cause, although Nvidia drivers tend to work well with SL.  I'm using the latest ones and am having no issues.  You may have had a bad driver installation.  Try downloading the GeForce drivers again and reinstalling them.
