Unable to delete or change name of a role in group I own

Hello

I have a group of which I am one of 5 owners. The group has the maximum of of 10 roles in it. I want to add a new role by either deleting an unused role or editing the role name and title of one of the unused ones that I created some time ago.

I am unable to do this in either the SL viewer or Firestorm viewer. The unused role I want to delete disappears when I click delete. Then I click save and refresh and the role I just deleted comes back. If I edit the title when I try and save it I get a message saying I have the maximum of 10 roles and it will not save. I must be doing something wrong.

One of the other owners is my alt and I tried with that but with the same result. I did not originally create the group could that be the problem? The person who created the group is very rarely in SL now but he made both me and my alt owners of the group at the same time that he created it.

This is driving me mad as I have someone urgently waiting for the role I am unable to create.
