404 error when posting events

Why is there a 404 error when I try to post an event?  I spent hours trying using 3 different browsers and the server was not available.  I have had it happen before and then be able to post after serveral tries.  Is there some kind of magic to get an event posted?

Not Found Error can be caused by server-side issues with the SecondLife Event System ~ or ~ it can also indicate an issue on your PC and/or wireless network.

1) If this is an issue with the SL Events Posting system then you would expect it to fail regardless of which Internet Browser you use on your PC. In this case look at the Grid Status page to see if in fact maintenance is being performed. The link is: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ - If this is a widespread problem 100's of Event Hosts will be posting problem reports with Linden lab.

2) This can also happen if your PC a) has an overly aggressive firewall installed that is directly blocking communication with the SL Server or b) has an incorrectly set Internet security system actively preventing cookies from being stored that keep the transaction guid in them.

Chesk to make sure that www.secondlife.com and/or https://secondlife.com are not blocked in any way.
