every time i use some kind of weapon or combat hud and then try to walk my avatar will attack.

Are you using the "mouse click on the ground to walk to a point" method of walking?  Don't.  Use the keyboard arrow keys instead.

Your weapons and HUDs should come with a notecard of instructions.  Read them.  If you still have a problem, contact the creator of the item.
