Good question which id also like to know, make it sound so easy just change sterling to usd then buy linden

It's a long time since I've had to buy L$ (as a reasonably successful scripter, I earn plenty in-world) but as I understand it, you simply give them a UK £ credit card number and then you get billed accordingly.

Alternatively, if you're paying with PayPal (which I still use for my premium subscription), I think PayPal take the momey from your £ balance and convert it at their daily rate (or upload the equivalent amount from your bank/credit card if necessary).   Again, I'm not sure, because when I cash out, I leave a US$ balance on my PayPal account to cover my SL subscription and other US$ purchases.
