I can have lag on my own region when I am the only one there

Hi guys:

I can have lag on my own region when I am the only one there. Is that normal or is there something I need to check on my computer?

Both.  You can easily have lag on your own region if you have loaded it full of huge textures that take a long time to load, physical objects and temp rezzers that eat up server time, and mesh objects with way too many verticies to render easily.  You can also have lag problems because your own computer is old, out of date, or not up to SL recommended standards, or if your Internet connection is unreliable.
