MariDavina
Hi,I'm new at Second Life, so I'm not sure where to put this and if the thread already exists.. Sorry in advance. I have a question about the line above my name.. When I'm playing, you can see my name next to my character, but suddenly a text appeared above it, like a kind of one line header saying 'i am fun :D'. But it appeared out of nowhere (i think). Anyone can help me change it? Can't find how...Thanks.
Ariel Vuissent
Have you joined any groups? When you join a group, you usually recieve what's called a group tag, which floats above your avatar. If that's it, simply open your chat window, and go to (I think) the contacts tab. (Or whichever one is directly above "Nearby" or "Local.") Find the Groups tab in that window, then choose the one that says None and click on it once. Click Activate on the right, and the tag should go away. You may also be wearing a Titler. Usualy titles have to be set, but in this case, perhaps not. It's easy to find out. Take off your clothes! Find a Mature region, if you are old enough, and detach any OBJECT you're wearing. In your inventory, objects have a box icon beside them. You don't need to remove system layers - anything that doesn't have a box beside it - so you should be able to do this in a General region if you need to.(I prefer Mature, just as a precaution, but it shouldn't matter.) In the Worn folder, right click and detach each item with a box beside it, until the text goes away. When it does, you know that the object you just detached was the culprit. If it doesn't, it's not an object you're wearing.
