CarlosSegoo
I have made some toys for my self and would like to be able to click on them to send them to my toy box so I can RP picking up my toys. I found llGiveInventory and tried the following llGiveInventory("toybox", "actionfigure") and nothing is happening. I check my toybox prim and the actionfigure is not there. Rolig Loon
Right. In order for llGiveInventory to transfer an item, it has to know what/who is supposed to get it. It also has to have the item in its own inventory, not rezzed on the ground somewhere. Your method is going to fail on both counts. What you can do is write a script for each toy that uses a sensor to locate the toy box and find its location. Once it has that information, you can use llSetRegionPos to move the toy to the toy box's position. It won't go into the box's inventory, because there's no way to do that, but at least it will be physically IN the box where you can see it. Other than that, the best bet is simply to keep the toys in your box's inventory all the time so that they are available to rez on demand. Then just kill the rezzed copy when you want to "put the toys away".
