Ted McGregor
Have Windows scan your hard disk for errors. Meaning : Uninstall SL-viewer. Scan hard disk for errors. Reboot. Reinstall SL-viewer. Good luck ! ETA : /me points down. Check out Ren Toxx' link. I was unaware of that specific issue.

wdwalker
Same thing happened to me.... I gave up on Linden and got a third party viewer....Firestorm seems to be the closet to SLviewer...we are in a minority of ones that were affected therefore Linden could care less it seems....got to love their forced updates that they can't get right.... Bobbie Faulds
Be sure when you reinstall you do a clean install. This means, before you uninstall the current viewer, you go to preferences and find where your caches are and be sure to delete those as well. At least with Firestorm, it gets hung up at the point you're talking about when there's are corrupt textures...just uninstalling the program doesn't get those. http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_clean_reinstall?s[]=clean&s[]=install is the procedure for Firestorm. Just substitute for the SL viewer.
