How do I change my Land to snow / ice instead of the sand?

can someone let me know how i can change my land to snow. I have land rights and would like to do this for the winter.

If your land is in Mainland you cannot change the texture of the land.

If your land is in a Pfrivate Region, only the owner of the region can change the texture for the land, maybe you can speak with his/her.

As a  workaround you can cover your land with snowy prims, rocks...

The same way you create grass, just use a snowy white texture instead of a grassy texture, etc.  Create a prim, make it long wide and thin, change the texture to something that resembles snow and lay it down over the sand.

Or get a "weather system" that will drop snow down onto your land.

There are snow textures in the Library under Textures - Terrain Textures.
