Notification Issue

Hi I'm having a issue dealing with my notifications and i noticed some of my friends have a higher limit with there notifications hense where my notifications cap when it reaches a limit of 30. However it has become sort of an issue with me due to the fact I am a blogger so when ever something is sent I have to go through the hassel and checking my email just to see if I missed any item, I was trying to see how i can fix it and have a bit more notifications so I don't usually have to go crazy looking through my inventory or groups or even my email to see if I missed anything is there any possible way you guys can try to assist me or help me understand what is the issue?

I think the cap is 25.

What I would do is create an email address specifically for Second Life.
