How do I transfer $L from my group to me ?

Hi All,

My question is:  How do I transfer $L from my group to me ?

let me outline the scenario....

I rent two adjoining parcels of land on an island estate. I had originally deeded them to my group so I could share prims between the two. So, recently I had learned that one could join two parcels to make one large one so I decided to do that. At the same time i decided that I would transfer the parcels back to my personal ownership... no need for the group to own them if i no longer needed to share the prims.

So, after a little searching i found out how one reclaims deeded land - the group marks it for sale and I buy it back. heres where the problem begins...

I had previously read about people or bots swooping in and buying land simply because it was for sale cheap, so I put a rather extravagent pricetag on the parcel and proceeded to mark it for sale - $L 80,000 to be exact. (yes, i was in a rush and did not bother to use common sense...)

so, after buying it back from the group for the afore-mentioned 80k, i was taken aback when the group now had all of my money and there was seemingly no way to transfer it back to me.

at the time of the transaction the group had 6 members: me, my alt, and 4 friends. I removed the 4 others from the group right away and now there are only me and my alt left.

How do i get my 80k from my group assets back into my own pocket?

Group money is paid out once a day, so tonight/tomorrow morning it will pay out.  Note that it will pay everyone that has the Pay Liabilities ability, so if this is a group with many people, make sure not everyone has that ability -- which the Everyone role has by default.

I saw the part about removing your friends from the group after my initial reply, so you did good there.  If you and your alt both have the Pay Liabilities ability, each of you will get half the 80K.

FYI for future transactions -- when you set a plot of land for sale, you can choose 'sell to anyone' or 'sell to specific person'.  So if you set it to sell specifically to you, you can then set the sale price at L$0 and not have to worry about bots.

Thanks for your help..... your answer did a lot to ease my mind. it happened exactly as you said, and today my $$ is back in my pocket!
