I submitted linden dollars to be sold totaling 164,000 lindens, for 625.00 US on July 9th.

Did the sale actually take place?  Check your account balance at secondlife.com >>> Account Summary to see whether your L$ were actually sold.  If you placed a price target that was too high, they may still be waiting for a sucker buyer to pay the price. 

If the L$ have sold, there may be a dollar balance in your USD account.  If so, that means that you either did not request a credit transfer to PayPal, or it was not completed.  Read the appropriate information in the Knowledge Base to be sure that you followed that payout procedure properly.  If you did, and if the transfer is still pending, give the Linden Lab billing office a call.  They are very efficient and helpful.  If you have a non-technical issue related to billing concerns, you can call the Linden Lab billing team at the following toll-free numbers at any time 24/7:
