Hey there,

I'm sort of new to the site, so please bear with me and my silly questions! I've purchased a few items from the store, but am having issues wearing them. I've selected all the items of clothing in the set, and even though the bits on the wrist and over the stomach are showing up, the fabric that's suppose to be covering her chest isn't. Like, the flesh is showing thorugh completely and obviously I don't want to wander around flashing everybody. Any help would be appreciated! <3

I'm guessing you're talking about mesh clothing?  Mesh clothes are formed with standard proportions in mind.  I've had this issue as well since my avatar is top heavy in order to mimic my rl measurements.  But some mesh clothes just do not cover right unless I go into the "edit appearance" option and change my breast size back to somewhere closer to the middle of the slider bar.  It's either that or make a bra using the create shirt or undershirt options in the "edit appearance" mode and try to match the color to the garment color.  This will camoflage your breasts.  But it only works if you have a solid colored garment to work with, since patterns are harder to match.  Hope this helps.

You've joined SL at an awkward time - avatar technology is changing rapidly. Many of the starter avatars use a more recent technology than much of the available clothing and it isn't compatible. If you got one of the new "mesh" starter avatars you'll need to switch to one of the "classic" avatars to use the clothing you bought. "Classic" avatars actually are quite a bit more versatile anyway, at least compared with the starter mesh avatars that have been issued.

>>>If you are using a classic avatar shape and the clothes are mesh:

1. Make sure you are wearing the alpha layer

(ADD the alpha, do not WEAR incase you need to apply more than one alpha on your avatar)

2. make sure you pick the ONE size closest to the size of avatar

3. If you still see bits of your body showing through, then you need to modify your shape. Usually it's breast, belly, saddle bags, butt, & body fat if you have a female avatar depending on which is showing through. You said chest, so adjust the size, bouyancy, etc...of your breasts

If you are wearing a male avatar, then adjust pecs

There are standard size charts that tell you the numbers of the sliders when you edit but you may still have to make adjustments anyway.

>>>If you are using a mesh avatar, some mesh clothes won't fit at all. It's mesh over mesh. Some mesh avatars are not designed for standard size mesh clothing and you may not be able to modify the mesh body.
