DerpWolf
I wonder up to what extent the physics shape is used by clothing? Is it taken to account when the clothing item is worn, or only while the item is rezzed to the ground? Can I, for example, use a simple box for physics shape, instead of low res version of the mesh? Sassy Romano
Clothing is always phantom when worn thus physics are irrelevant. Use a cube, it will make sure that physics is not a factor in the upload cost.
DerpWolf
Thanks for clearing that. One more question, if you won't mind: does uploading as "avatar shape" and "attachment" make difference? Will the object in both cases be phantom?
Sassy Romano
No difference. I think that feature doesn't actually do anything but was part of a planned wizard that remains unfinished. Someone else may know better.
arton Rotaru
The mesh types is just for statisical reasons. To give LL a clue for what mesh is used the most. However, I never use it, it's just more clicks when uploading mesh....
DerpWolf
Good to know then. It would make sense if Avatar shape used physics when worn, but if it is not the case, it means less headache.
