Viewer 3 issues -------- receiving non friend ims

im lost here,

2 weeks ago ive been having problems with viewer 3< the only viewer that works the best for me>       i cant receive ims from non friends and if i type to them they can see my ims but i cant see there,       i have not found a fix for this,        is there something i can do?     ive cleared cache and cleared my history,    even did a clean reinstall...........

ok, first thing to check. while you are logged in, go to Me>Preferences and look in the Chat tab. did "Only friends and groups can call or IM me" get switched on?

great, glad it was something easy to fix. that one could use a little warning popup.

im not sure what made it check itself,      perhaps a major viewer update............      im not sure
