How can I get an account that was previously banned years ago unbanned?

I have previously had an account (2009-2010 ish) that was banned from a mass auto-report and I would like to reclaim it! Can anyone help me do this?

Being banned is for life.  Being suspended is for a particular time frame.  Therefore I doubt you can get the avatar back, and even if you could I doubt you would have any inventory. Once an avatar account is  voluntarily canceled LL doesn't guarantee the inventory remains if it is reactivated it.  If an avatar is banned I'm betting its wiped and not even stored as a backup.

Your only hope is to appeal your ban.  When you were banned, you received an email notifying you and that email gave instructions on how to appeal.  If there was no time limit given on the appeal then you could appeal your ban by following the instructions given.  A support ticket won't work.

BTW, if you were banned you are prohibited by the TOS from entering SL again by creating new avatar.

SL were a lot stricter then, so if you got banned it was for a very good reason and LL will not revoke it. End of.
