I put a no copy item down and it has vanished

It is not in my inventory, i have done highlight invisable, is there any other way i can find this item?

Hi Sylvia,

Did you search by name for the item in your inventory? It may have been auto-returned and send to your "Lost and Found" folder. If you rezzed it along with something else, the entire collection of things you rezzed may have been returned en-masse as a "coalesced object". If that's the case, your Lost and Found folder will contain at least one object that looks like a li'l pile of boxes, with the name of one of the objects in the collection. Re-rezzing that in a safe place (try the Fermi public sandbox) will retrieve all the objects, which you can then take back into inventory one at a time.

If the object truly isn't in your inventory, try an area search, which is available directly in Firestorm in the "World" menu and indirectly in the LL viewer via Build->Pathfinding->Linksets.

If you are still unable to find your thing, come back to edit your question via "Options" over there on the right. Hopefully someone will have additional ideas.
