Pre-existing health fundraisers?

I'm very interested in joining a charity or creating one that revolves around organ transplantation. Does anyone know of anything like this that is already organized in-world? Or maybe anything similar? 

Also, are there suggested steps for creating a REPUTABLE second life charity? Any and all ideas are appreciated :)

There are several fund raisers for charitable health organizations in SL but I haven't heard of one for organ donation.  It would be a good one to take on, not only to raise money but also to encourage people to sign up as organ donors.

You should contact a known non profit organization for organ donation, perhaps UNOS the most well known one and the organization that handles matching donors to recipients, and tell them you want to raise money in SL for them.  If possible, have their rep create a bank alt with their organizations name, that will be avatar that receives all donations. It is also helpful to fill out the alts profile with information on its purpose and ino about their organization.  Also get their pemission to use their logo etc.

It is also helpful if they have a web site where people can donate that don't want to do it in SL, and it would be ideal if they put something on their site about the fund raiser.  Also get a number people can call to confirm that the fund raiser is legit.

All donations should be made to a donation kiosk with a no mod script that gives all the money to the organizations bank alt upon payment, regardless of who owns the kiosk.  You can even make the kiosk copy and transfer so it can be spread around to a lot of locations, as long as it's no mod.  The kiosk should give out a notecard explaining the charity and giving the web sit info and contact phone number. It would also be a good place to give information about becoming an organ donor. 

A competent builder/scripter should not have a problem making one for you if you can't do this yourself.
