Hi all,

Soon I'll be renting some apartments out, but I was wondering if there was a way for tenants to paint their walls on the inside without changing the outside building wall. Is there even a script which can be used for tenants to choose a certain color?

Yes that is possible.  What you need is a texture changing system that will texture just one side of a prim and has a control that shows a menu of the texture choices. There are two types of controls, one goes on the wall of the room, the other is a HUD. Some actually show the textures and some work with drop down menus and only show the name of the texture.

If the walls are blank or shaded with a grey scale texture you can get scripts and controls for color change too and there are also systems that will do both. 

For do it yourself, look in the MP for commercially licensed scripts.  Search using Texture, Color or Texture and color, depending on what you want to do then when you get the results look under scripts>builder helpers.  Note that it helps to have some building and basic script mod knowledge to set these up right and your build has to be modifiable.

If you have no building and script experience you may want to consider hiring someone to do this for you.  If you haven't bought a prefab building yet, some of them come set up to do this.  You can also hire a builder to build you a building set up this way.
