My friends can;t hear the music playing in my home

I have a music and video stream in my home, but my friends that visit cannot hear it.  Any ideas why and how to fix it?

first, say at your friend, just relog

second , ask at your friend looking in prference, if all is ok, look all the menu in preference ... media and son...

I assume that you can hear it, so you know that it's a valid stream.  If your friends can't hear it, then the problem is on their end.  Things for them to check:

• volumes for music and media are not at minumum;
• audio is configured correctly in your operating system (ie, Windows, linux, OSX), that sound is going to the correct device (ie, speakers or headset), and so on;
   
  Then go to Avatar → Preferences → Sound & Media

• Make sure the “Enabled” checkbox to the right of the “Media” slider is checked
  (For audio, check “Streaming Music”)
• Check “Allow resident scripts to play media”
• Make sure you have updated both Flash Player and Quicktime.
