Sounds like you have an animation script running. Have you tried the stop animations tab.

1) Edit your Appearance by clicking on yourself and selecting My Appearance

2) In the upper right corner click the wrench

3) Open the Body Parts section

4) Click on your Shape's  Edit this Shape option [wrench]

5) Scroll down to the bottom of the list of attributes under the Body

6) Set your Hover to 50

7) Press the SAVE option button on the top left of the dialog window.
