Graphics Scrambled

Hi there!

I'm playing SL since 2008 now and aproximately 3 years of it on my Laptop ( its a HP with  ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 graphics) and its always scrambled. I didn't care much about it so far... but I wonder if there is a way to fix it with drivers or something.

It would be soooo nice if I could could see everything clear since there is so much new stuff on SL.

I don't know whether this will fix it, but you should update your drivers if you have no recently done that. 

Google seaarch for

radeon drivers

Go to the AMD graphics and drkivers software page and follow the instructions. 

Remember, always get your graphics drivers direct from the manufacturer, never from Microsoft

This may be superstitious but given ATI's long history of problems I'd still give it a try: In Preferences / Graphics / Hardware, try disabling OpenGL Vertex Buffer Objects if it's currently enabled.

Yes yes, it's a gpu/drivers problem.

# Get a new driver directly from ATI but not the 2 latest versions since I heard they are giving probs on SL.

# Play with your graphisc settings, disable/enable stuff until you stop getting those artefacts.

Worst case scenario: your gpu might be giving in! :smileysurprised: Clean yourr lappy's inside. Dust is a killer! And then get a cooling stand to place your lappy on.
